Here is a recipe for Moong Dal Khichdi:
Ingredients:
1 cup rice
1/2 cup moong dal
1/2 tsp cumin seeds
1/2 tsp mustard seeds
1/2 tsp turmeric powder
1/2 tsp red chilli powder
1/2 tsp garam masala powder
1 tbsp ghee
Salt to taste
Instructions:
Rinse the rice and moong dal separately under water several times until the water runs clear. Soak them together for 15-20 minutes.
Heat ghee in a pressure cooker. Add cumin seeds and mustard seeds. Let them splutter.
Add the soaked rice and moong dal to the pressure cooker along with turmeric powder, red chilli powder, garam masala powder, and salt.
Add 3 cups of water and mix well.
Pressure cook for 3 whistles on medium flame.
Once the pressure releases naturally, open the lid and give it a good stir.
